Enrollment Process

We're so excited that you are interested in beginning the enrollment process for your child. Here's an overview of what to expect:

Online Tour: Families interested in MBNS will participate in an online tour of our program. This tour is just for adults and we typically hold 1-2 tours per month.

Application: Once you have toured, request an application for each child you would like to enroll and submit a $45 application fee via our Venmo (@ManhattanBeachNurserySchool).

School Playdate: When we have received your application and fee, our Director will contact you to schedule an on campus "playdate" for you and your child. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a sense of our program philosophy, meet other families, observe your child in our environment and speak with our staff.

Enroll: Our Director will contact you after the playdate if we are able to place your child into our program. If so, you will complete an 'Intent to Enroll' form and pay the School Year Deposit (equal to one month's tuition) for each child you are enrolling. Because Manhattan Beach Nursery School is licensed by the State, we must keep certain papers on file at all times. These forms include but are not limited to: membership contract, child’s preadmission health history including immunization status based on SB 277, physician’s report, personal rights form, parents rights form, Volunteer health screening report, Emergency contact information, media release form and medical consent form. All forms MUST be completed, returned and verified before your child can attend.

Toddler Program
Come join the fun at our You & Me Toddler Group where parents and children can play, socialize and relax in a beautiful, peaceful and love-filled environment, hosted by our wonderful MBNS staff.
Thursdays, 3 - 4:30pm

For children who are walking to 24 months
$330 for the 11-week session
MBNS Affordable Tuition Goals
At MBNS, we strive to make our programs affordable to all families who wish to be here! We have the following opportunities, which the Director will discuss with any family who may benefit from MBNS and would like some ideas for making tuition affordable:
1. Tuition Deferment - Tuition can be deferred for as long as needed, with no late fees or interest.
2. Additional Family Post beyond the Requirement - A family can have additional family post days beyond their required one day to reduce tuition.
3. School Maintenance Projects - Families that are able to complete repair and maintenance projects (plumbing, electrician, carpentry, etc.) can apply their hours worked towards tuition at a rate of $35/ per hour
4. Subbing for Families - A family can take a request from a family to cover their Family Post at a rate of $35 per day (paid by the requesting family)
5. Scholarships- vary by year/amount available. Scholarships are awarded to enrolled families first, and on a first-come, first-served basis.
